Volunteer Badge Renewal

It’s that time of year again: Volunteer Badge Renewal

Each year, we renew our volunteer badges  to ensure we have accurate records in our volunteer and security databases.

Your volunteer badge is comprised of three parts: lanyard, hard-backed badge, and sticker-faceplate.  Our renewal process involves the sticker-faceplate (otherwise known as the photo component) part of your badge.

Your volunteer coordinators were given your new sticker-faceplates earlier this week.  Within the next week or so, they will be distributing these to you (if they haven’t done so already).  This year’s colour is yellow, and all sticker-faceplates list the new expiry date of November 1, 2013.

How to Detach the old sticker-faceplate and reattach the new one:

Volunteers, please  be sure to remove your old sticker/faceplate.   (It seems easiest to peel back the sticker from the top right corner and remove swiftly, in one movement).   Discard your old sticker, and attach the new one to your hard-backed badge.  You’re done!

Please resist the temptation to simply layer one sticker on top of the other. Over time, layering stickers may dull your badge’s magnetism.

If you need help, please feel free to stop by staff and volunteer resources (just up the stairs from the volunteer lounge) or consult another volunteer for guidance.
