Hello Everyone,

• The Vija Celmins installation looks amazing. The works are beautiful and it is the perfect exhibit for people who are seeking quiet moments to reflect and experience the power of extraordinary art. Please make sure you visit this exhibition once it opens on May 4.

 

• I have been enjoying many lunches and visits with supporters of the AGO. Philanthropic gifts are critical to our ability to offer great exhibitions and programs and I always enjoy the opportunity to say “thank you.” The reality is that most of our donors are generous to the AGO because they have a good experience when they visit, which is often unannounced or with family or friends. From the moment they arrive to the time of departure, everyone’s work in some way helps make it a positive experience.

 

• As we get closer to announcing our new Access Model – 25 and under free and $35 annual pass – employees in several departments are working hard on ways to celebrate the launch and get the word out. Thanks to all involved. Once it becomes public on May 9, please talk about it to people you know.
