Congratulations to our 2019 Ontario Volunteer Service Award winners!

Each year the Ontario government honours hundreds of volunteers from across the province, including several from the AGO.  While the awards are loosely based on years of service (minimum 5 years for adults, 2 years for youth), each institution selects a handful who have gone above and beyond.

The nominated AGO volunteers represent both new and old volunteers from several departments.  They have each found unique ways to enhance visitor experience and support their fellow volunteers.  This year we honour:

Rheba Adolph (Prints & Drawings, 18 years)  – 15 year award
Katherina Cossidente (Gallery Guide – E/W, 11 years) – 10 year award
Cecile Freeman (Prints & Drawings, 13 years) – 10 year award
Rhonda Katz (Gallery Guide, 23 years) – 20 year award
Lara McLenan-Ben (Information Guides) – 5 year award
Nara Wrigglesworth (Youth Council, 4 years) – 2 year youth award

Congratulations everyone! We plan to feature profiles of our winners over the next few weeks so you can get to know some of the great people we work alongside!
