Weekly Message From Our Director and CEO, Stephan Jost

Friday, April 5, 2019

Hello Everyone,

  • Yayoi Kusama’s Let’s Survive Forever infinity room looks amazing. LASS and others did a great job with a complicated installation. Last night, we celebrated the supporters who helped bring the work to our museum. It was a fun event with a “polka dot” theme and guests enjoyed it very much. Take time to see it yourself.

  • At Town Hall, I shared the news about our plans to launch a new admission model and annual access pass next month. As you can image, a ton of research, data analysis and thoughtful planning has been happening in the background for quite some time. Many of you have been involved, especially Advancement employees. THANK YOU to everyone for helping to ensure a successful launch. Having a cohesive Advancement structure in place has demonstrated how critical the internal alignment is for those who work in Visitor Experience, Membership, Digital Services, Development, and Marketing & Communications.

  • A number of you have been participating in the “Lookbook” initiative led by Communications & Brand, part of our brand exercise related to front-of-house employee uniforms. Don’t you agree they all look great?! This pic features team members from Food & Beverage, Protection Services, Retail, Facility Services and Visitor Experience: Jim Gibson, Kathryn Yuen, Zerong Lin, Salar Shaker, Ayverie Porter, Natasha Trent-Rennick, Ryan Bastedo, Kelsey Bryrne, Stephen Gaessler, and Dylan Lins. This is just the start.

Enjoy the weekend,

Stephan
