A warm welcome to Shane Ward who joins the AGO’s People Department on Monday Feb. 11 as Manager, Total Rewards.

In this role, Shane will be responsible for compensation, benefits, pension, payroll, HR systems and recognition programs.

Shane comes to the AGO from his most recent role as Director, Compensation, Benefits and HR Systems for The North West Company where he led compensation, benefits, HR systems and payroll for operations in Canada, the US, the Caribbean and Asia Pacific. Shane’s previous roles include: Director, Compensation, Benefits & HR Systems and Director, HR Call Centre Services at The Home Depot; Manager, Compensation and Benefits at Toronto Star Newspapers; President at Ganiem Consulting; Assistant Vice-President, Total Compensation & HRIS at Winners Merchants; Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits at McDonald’s Restaurants Canada; and Senior Consultant/Partner for The Avalon Group. Shane is passionate about art having most recently been a member of the Winnipeg Art Gallery while he was working in that city.
