Hello Everyone,

 

• It is wonderful to see so many people in the galleries this week, and also in the shop and food outlets. Happy visitors are a testament to everyone’s ability to deliver great customer service.

 

• This week, the Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees met to provide input on the new access and pricing model. This committee meets four times a year and provides guidance on matters related to fundraising; corporate partnerships; developing the AGO’s customer strategy and growing membership; improving visitor experience; and strengthening the AGO’s brand and public profile. Also this week, the Indigenous & Canadian Curatorial Committee met to discuss collection building and deaccessions. Next week, I’ll be spending more time with trustees as we visit museums in Houston. We have a very engaged and supportive board.

 

• The weather this week has not been easy for people who have to commute, navigate icy sidewalks or coordinate family logistics. Thank you to everyone for making your best effort in spite of the icy conditions. Only 8 more weeks to go until spring!
