Hello Everyone,
- The AGO’s upcoming Vija Celmins exhibition opens in May. Her work is exquisite. I enjoyed watching these short clips and thought I would share: https://www.sfmoma.org/exhibition/vija-celmins/. Watching them will really help us all to understand the artist’s creative process. We have partnered with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. The exhibition is currently on view at SFMoMA.
- On February 7th, the AGO will hold its final First Thursday to make way for new programming and ideas. First Thursdays has had an incredible run of 6+ years of art inspired community engagement. It has a lasting legacy at the AGO. Kudos to PP&L employees and everyone else involved for pioneering such a successful program. Don’t worry, the PP&L team is planning something even more amazing….
