Weekly Update from our Director and CEO, Stephan Jost

Hello Everyone,

  • The hustle-and-bustle of September has kicked into high gear. Please take a moment to view new art installations, including works on paper on the 2nd floor, sculpture in Galleria Italia, and contemporary works on the 4th floor, part of Look:Forward.

  • Welcome all new staff and volunteers who have joined the AGO in recent months. I am very pleased that Nan Oldroyd, our new Chief, Staff & Volunteer Resources, started this week. Please take a moment to introduce yourself to Nan, I know she looks forward to meeting everyone. (And she is very good at remembering names!)

  • Anthropocene opens next week and the installation is coming along beautifully. Thank you to the entire team – especially those who are helping to ensure the AR apps perform well. AR is a significant component of the exhibition and I’m excited to see how our public will respond.

  • Tonight I am attending the opening of MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto Canada). By all accounts, it sounds extraordinary. I am excited to welcome MOCA as part of our city’s cultural landscape.

Enjoy the weekend,

Stephan
