Weekly Message from Our Director and CEO, Stephan Jost

Hello Everyone,

  • This week, I’ve spent quite a bit of time with close supporters of the AGO, providing tours of Tunirrusiangit, the J.S. McLean Centre for Indigenous & Canadian Art, Rebecca Belmore: Facing the Monumental and the new acquisitions gallery. The feedback has been positive – everyone should feel good about the high quality of our summer program.

  • A reminder that staff and volunteers are invited to participate in one of the two learning sessions organized by the IDEA Group next week: Monday from 11am-12:30pm or Tuesday from 5-6:30pm. See Dartboard for details. Exhibitions and programs can be a great way to move the conversation forward. The IDEA Group (an internal team focused on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility) is hosting their first session in the J.S. McLean Centre for Indigenous & Canadian Art. Light refreshments will be available in Baillie Court.

  • If you have a few free moments this afternoon, take a peek at the exhibition of artworks on display by AGO campers from 3:30-4pm in the Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School.

Enjoy the weekend,

Stephan
