Reminder: Volunteers Needed to Test the Technology for Anthropocene

Staff and volunteers are invited to help test the technology visitors will use in the upcoming Anthropocene exhibition – while entering for a chance to win a prize.

  • Monday, July 23
  • 11 am – 12 noon
  • Sam & Ayala Zacks Pavilion (enter via the Walker Court second floor catwalk)
  • Sign up here

All you need to do is bring your smartphone to the Zacks Pavilion. We’ll ask half of the group to download the exhibition app and the other half to stream videos on their phones. All participants will be entered to win a gift basket of AGO publications, which will be drawn for at the end of the test.

This test will help us gauge how multiple users on the AGO’s Wi-Fi in the Zacks Pavilion will affect the connection speed and the overall experience of using the app. The exhibition will contain two augmented reality (AR) installations, which visitors will view by downloading an app on their smartphone or tablet that will trigger the AR experiences in the gallery spaces. Please note: the AR artworks will not be visible during this test.

Opening September 28, Anthropocene tells the story of human impact on the Earth through film, photography, and new experiential technologies.
