A Message from the Director: Thank You For Your Work on Kusama

Dear Everyone,

We are now just 17 days away from the end of one of the most popular AGO exhibitions ever. To date, over 150,000 tickets for Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors have been booked. The show, which explores the evolution of the celebrated Japanese artist’s immersive Infinity Mirror Rooms, closes on May 27. The last two weekends of May the exhibition will stay open until midnight.

I want to thank everyone here at the AGO for all of your hard work that helped make this show a phenomenal success. Virtually every staff member, intern and volunteer has been involved – including our full-time staff, part-time, casual and those who were hired or volunteered for this exhibition.

To thank you all for your incredible efforts to make this exhibition a success, I would like to invite you to a staff & volunteer boxed lunch on Wednesday, May 23.

  • Time: 12-2 pm OR 4-6 pm
  • Location: By the South Entrance
  • Please RSVP here by Friday May 18 – (Boxed lunch will be available while supplies last.)

Everyone who RSVPs will be entered in a draw for a chance to win one of 25 Cineplex movie passes or a fantastic polka-dotted Kusama Attendant T-shirt.

The AGO has never experienced anything like Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors. I hope you enjoy this thank you event and take away great memories of being a part of this exciting time in the AGO’s history.

Thank you,

Stephan
