Hello everyone,
- There is a lot of pretty intense behind-the-scenes activity happening this week with both Mitchell/Riopelle: Nothing in Moderation and Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors being installed in the Sam & Ayala Zacks Pavilion, the Signy Eaton Gallery, and the 4th and 5th floors. Thank you to everyone who is working hard to ensure the spaces are successfully installed in time for opening dates.
- On Wednesday, I hosted the Group of 8 CEOs from the ROM, TIFF, Harbourfront Centre, TSO, National Ballet of Canada, Soulpepper, and the Canadian Opera Company. We meet regularly to discuss ways we can work together to build the cultural sector in our city.
- Next week, I will be joining the AGO and AGO Foundation Board of Trustees on the annual board trip. This year, we are visiting New York and will be hearing from leaders of the Brooklyn Museum, the Whitney, the Met, MoMA, and the New Museum. I enjoy spending this time with our most generous supporters and learning about what’s current and happening in the museum world. I will be back in the office on Monday, February 26th – just in time to celebrate the opening of Kusama!
- This Monday is Family Day! PP&L staff have planned some great programming including an all-age dance party, fun with bubble wrap, and a colourful selfie wall. Thank you to all staff and volunteers who will be here on Monday helping make Family Day amazing for our visitors.
