Julian Cox joins the Gallery today as our new Chief Curator. In this role, Julian will become our second Deputy Director, joining Alicia Vandermeer, Deputy Director and Chief Advancement Officer.

Julian joins us from the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco (FAMSF), where he has held the position of Chief Curator and Founding Curator of Photography since 2010.

Reporting directly to Julian will be curators Sophie Hackett, Wanda Nanibush, Kitty Scott, Sasha Suda and Georgiana Uhlyarik. The publishing department, led by Jim Shedden, will also report to Julian.  Until Julian’s arrival, the current reporting structure will remain in place.
