With the recent opening of the revitalized Grange Park, the designated meeting place during evacuations is once again the centre of Grange Park.

Be prepared for the different stages of an Emergency Alarm:

Stage 1′ Fire Alarm

You will hear slow tones over the P.A. system.
Wait for instruction from your Security personnel (listen to intercom announcements as directed)

‘Stage 2’ Fire Alarm

You will hear fast tones over the P.A. system.
Evacuate the building immediately using the closest Fire Exit available and closing all doors behind you.

Non-Fire Emergency:

In the event that an evacuation is required during a non-fire related emergency, instructions will be provided over the P.A. system or the ‘stage 2’ tones will be activated. Please listen carefully to any instructions provided.  In all emergencies, once you exit the building, proceed directly to the meeting place in Grange Park.

Holly Procktor, Coordinator, Volunteer Resources Management is a designated Fire Warden for SVR. If volunteers are in the lounge at the time of an alarm, Holly will help escort volunteers to the nearest fire exit  (Jackman Hall ramp to the McCaul street entrance). If volunteers are in the galleries, they will be directed by a Security Officer.
