As part of the Grange Park revitalization project, Henry Moore’s Large Two Forms on the corner of Dundas and McCaul is moving to Grange Park this Saturday, June 3, weather permitting.

The work is expected to start at 7 am, and while the actual move should be completed within a few hours, the placement and installation of the sculpture on its new base may take several hours.

The following lanes will be closed to traffic while the sculpture is in transit:

    • Southbound lane of McCaul between Dundas and the driveway between AGO and OCAD University
    • Eastbound lanes of Dundas Street between McCaul and Beverley Streets
    • Northbound lane of Beverley Street between Dundas and the construction entrance to the park.

During this time, both the main entrance and the McCaul Street entrance will remain accessible. Staff and volunteers are welcome to watch the move from areas that are designated for public viewing. If you are not able to watch the move, we will be posting pictures on Dartboard next week.

Large Two Forms will be placed on the west side of the park’s historic circular path providing a beautiful landscape setting which Moore preferred for his works. The sculpture will be on a ground level base, making it more accessible for visitors in wheelchairs and other mobility devices to fully explore.

Stay tuned for upcoming news about the AGO’s plans for the south-west corner of Dundas and McCaul Streets, including new great art!
