March Break!

March Break 2014Saturday March 14 –  Sunday March 22

2015, 10 am – 4 pm

Join us for nine fun-filled, creative days of drop in fun!  Inspired by the amazing art work of Jean-Michel Basquiat, we are ‘Sampling & Scratching’ all week long! Basquiat believed everything was connected and absorbed everything around him to make symbol-laden art, focusing on social issues, music, street life and heroes. No need to register – just drop in!

Families can enjoy:
•Beat box and dance performances by Arts for Children and Youth and learn how to bust some moves themselves
•SOAR Rope Skipping and Brampton Acro Ropers rope skipping teams performances and learn how to ‘double Dutch’
•Create your own graffiti name ‘Tags’ for our Tag wall
•Drop in downstairs in the historic kitchen of The Grange, the oldest remaining brick house in Toronto and the first home of the Art Gallery
•Interactive storytelling with Toronto’s own Story Planet, on Saturday, March 21 as part of the Toronto Storytelling Festival
•Water-themed activities with Ecoloodi and Engineers without Borders on March 19 and 21, including water-themed films and a visit from TVO’s “Water Brothers” on March 21, as part of the Water Docs Festival.
•Kid-friendly films in Jackman Hall
•Guided family friendly tours
