Thanks to everyone who has already donated to the AGO GIVES BACK art supply drive. We still have a ways to go to reach our goal of 100 art supplies for SKETCH, a community organization that provides creative training for street-involved, homeless and at-risk youth (ages 15 – 29) to engage in the arts.

AGO GIVES BACK is an AGO Staff and Volunteer charitable initiative. Interested staff and volunteers can drop off new, unwrapped art supplies, including: sketchbooks of all sizes, paint brushes, water colour papers, mylar, wood panels, light boxes, tracing paper, cutting mats, easels, block printing ink and supplies including lino, watercolour pencil crayons, pens, sharpies and paint pens, PrismaColour or blendable pencils, markers, stumps for blending, used aluminum frames, canvas, screen printing supplies including inks, squeegies and mesh.  (Holly Procktor is the point-person for volunteer donations).

Representatives from SKETCH will be at the party to receive our donated supplies – so bring any last-minute items along with you on Thursday. We’ll be making some holiday cards for SKETCH, as well as playing some holiday-themed games. Holiday treats and hot beverages will be provided, courtesy of cafeAGO.
