What is happening?

  • We are always on the lookout for ways to strengthen our workplace environment and motivate and thank our staff and volunteers.
  • One way to do this is to provide many fantastic discounts and opportunities to staff, volunteers and interns through institutional offers, corporate programs and partnerships.
  • To make it easier for you to know exactly what is available and how to access these programs, we have worked with Internal Communications to bundle them all together and are pleased to introduce the AGO Advantage Program: AGO Advantage Program for Staff and Volunteers

What types of offers are available?

  • You may be aware of the Ontario and Toronto Attractions Reciprocal Agreement (currently available on our Intranet) which offers free or discounted admission to many Ontario attractions, including the Royal Ontario Museum, the Science Centre, the CN Tower and much more.
  • The Reciprocal Agreement is just one part of the AGO Advantage Program – which outlines the many other offers that are available to you, such as general AGO admission tickets, free tickets to special exhibitions, discounts in FRANK, the café, art classes, summer camp programs, and even discounts to Zipcar and neighbourhood restaurants. 

 Are these offers new to staff and volunteers?

  • Some of these offers have been in place for many years. You may have noticed offers announced via email or here on the blog from time to time, or learned of them via posters around the building
  • Some offers are more recent, some haven’t been widely communicated, and some are indeed new! The list will be updated regularly to accurately reflect what is being offered.

How do I find out more about the offers, and how to get them?

  • The link above provides an easy-to-read chart with complete details that you can quickly scan for offers that interest you.
  • The chart tells you if they are available to staff or volunteers or both, what times of the year they are valid, and provides phone numbers if you require reservations or additional information.
  • We’ve also provided a current list of programs below.

AGO Admission and Exhibitions

  • Free general admission – AGO staff, volunteers and interns receive free general admission to the galleries for themselves (and guests if visiting together) upon presentation of their I.D. badge.
