Weekly Message from Our Director and CEO, Stephan Jost

Hello Everyone,

  • Yesterday the Governor General announced new appointments to the Order of Canada, one of the country’s highest honours. I am pleased to share that Matthew Teitelbaum, the AGO’s former Director & CEO, is recognized as a Member of the Order of Canada for his sustained leadership in the arts, notably in the transformation of the AGO. This is wonderful news and we are all thrilled for him.
  • AGO summer camps start on Tuesday morning. Thank you to the PP&L team including 200 teen volunteers, 15 counsellors and 15 instructors who are helping to ensure a safe and fun time with lots of learning. The galleries will be enlivened with campers and I am looking forward to experiencing their energy and excitement.
  • On Wednesday, we held the Annual Meeting for members and trustees. Alicia Vandermeer and I provided highlights of the past fiscal year 2018-2019. Once again, I was reminded of what a strong year we had. YOU made it all possible.

Enjoy the long weekend,

Stephan
