Volunteer Annual Party 2019

Shelagh Barrington interviewing Nan Oldroyd and Heidi Reitmaier

AGO volunteers enjoyed an Impressionist themed party on May 3 in Baillie Court.  In addition to posing with fun props at the ever-popular photo booth (see Holly’s post for info about downloading your favourites), volunteers met people from other departments with a Paris-monument-themed icebreaker game, mingled with old friends, and tried a variety of tasty nibbles from AGO Food & Beverage.

Volunteer President Shelagh Barrington used a series of light-hearted interview question to introduce two new executives: Nan Oldroyd, Chief of the People department, and Heidi Reitmeier, Deputy Director and Chief of Public Programming and Learning.    For those who missed it, Nan is the proud mother of a French Lapp rabbit named Monkey, and Heidi is a die-hard Man U fan!

Nan thanked outgoing Volunteer Executive Committee members Michelle Abrams, Shelagh Barrington, Anne Fleming, and Susan Morrison, presenting them with AGO books.  Before the evening wrapped up several lucky winners went home with fabulous door prizes including art supplies and Bistro gift certificates.

Many thanks to the organizing committee – Michelle Abrams (Info Guide),  Shelagh Barrington (GG), Anastasia Beryl (Info Guide), and Anne Hart (GG) –   and to door prize donors AGO Bistro, AGO Book Store, and Above Ground Art Supplies.  We hope to see you all next year!
