Weekly Message From Our Director and CEO, Stephan Jost

Hello everyone,

  • A long-serving volunteer guide recently told me how excited she is about the Arte Povera works on view in the Signy Eaton Gallery. Be sure to check them out. The final of the Look:Forward installations, it features contemporary sculpture by Luciano Fabro and Jannis Kounellis. A big team worked on this and it looks stunning.

  • Thanks to everyone who participated in Cleanup Day earlier this week. A special thanks to Facility Services for all their hard work on this project and to our Floor Captains for their contributions. Overall we donated two van loads of items to ArtsJunktion, Collected 15 (32 gallons) confidential bins and 26 (95 gallons) of recycling bins.

  • A little hard to believe but this week marks my third anniversary at the AGO – which means I am no longer the new guy. Many of you have worked here for much longer – for example, the wonderful Larry Pfaff (Head, Reader Services in the E.P. Taylor Library & Archives) has been here nearly 15 times longer!

  • Some of you will be celebrating Easter or Passover this weekend. I hope everyone enjoys the break. A special thank you to those who will be on-site working over the holiday.

See you next week,

Stephan
