Dear Volunteers,
We have a number of volunteers in our program who have shared they have trouble with scents. People with scent sensitivity can suffer headaches, nausea, dizziness and a general feeling of unwellness. For the benefit of all, let’s try and remember to refrain from using scented products in the Gallery.
Some helpful hints:
• As a guideline, a scent should not be detectable more than an arm’s length away from you.
• If you have used a scented product for a long time, your own ability to detect the scent may be reduced.
• If someone tells you that your scented product bothers them, please don’t be offended.
• Chemicals in your scented product can make some people sick, sometimes lasting for many days after exposure.
We Share the Air… please help us keep it scent-free and avoid using scented products when you volunteer
Thank you!
