Message from Our Director and CEO, Stephan Jost

Hello Everyone,

  • Our annual AGO Gives Back campaign has started. Until December 19th, we’re gathering art supplies (or cash towards a group purchase of art supplies) in support of Fort Frances High School – one of the schools that participated in Connected North. Connected North fosters student engagement and enhanced education outcomes in remote Indigenous communities. To wrap-up the campaign, we will be having a special holiday edition of Coffee & Conversations on Wednesday December 19, from 9:30am – 10:30am in cafeAGO, where staff and volunteers can drop off donations and enjoy some festive treats.  Please join us!

  • Did you know the AGO offers a multisensory program? It is a 90-minute tour that provides audio description, 3-D printed models, raised line drawings, scent explorations, and soundscapes based on artworks in our collections. This tour is offered 12 times a year for free with community partners.

  • Congrats to everyone involved with the Into the Anthropocene: Our Impact on Earth podcast, which made Apple Podcasts’ Best of 2018 list! You can listen to each episode here: https://soundcloud.com/agotoronto.

Enjoy the weekend,

Stephan
