Join the Volunteer Executive: Secretary Wanted!

The Volunteer Executive is a group of volunteers who come together with SVR to shape and support volunteer engagement across the gallery, through events, communications (i.e. the volunteer blog), and by administering volunteer funds (i.e. the Margaret Machell Study Grant, and Volunteer Executive Trust).

Looking to build your resume, gain administrative experience, and enjoy organizing? (we know you’re out there!)

We’re currently looking for a Secretary, for a one-year term, beginning January 2019 

You will enjoy this role if you would describe yourself as:

  • a quick writer, with an eye for details!
  • computer savvy
  • someone who enjoys being part of a team

As VE Secretary, you will:

  • Attend regular monthly meetings of the Volunteer Executive (note: the VE currently meets the first Thursday of each month, from 5 – 6:30pm in the volunteer meeting room)
  • Take minutes of each meeting; transcribe into a short Word document; email draft minutes to VE members for corrections and/or additions; and prepare a final copy for the VEC files
  • Send minutes, along with Agenda (prepared by the Volunteer President) in advance of each monthly meeting.
