Upcoming: Volunteer Annual Badge Renewal

It’s that time of year again: Volunteer Annual Badge Renewal!

Each year, our Security Team reviews and renews our volunteer badges to ensure we have accurate and consistent records across our volunteer and security databases.

Did you know? Your volunteer badge is comprised of three parts: lanyard, hard-backed badge, and sticker-faceplate.  Our renewal process involves just the sticker-faceplate (otherwise known as the photo component) part of your badge.  You keep and retain your hard-backed badge and lanyard (don’t throw away your badge!)  and we will supply a new sticker-faceplate update.

The Security team is still processing your updated sticker-faceplates. New faceplates will list a general expiry of November 1, 2019.

When we receive the updated sticker-faceplates, they will be sent along to your volunteer coordinators for distribution. Never fear, our Security friends has assured me your current badges will continue to work through their November 1, 2018 expiry. We experience a few quirks with this renewal every year, so if by chance you have problems, just get in touch.

Thanks for your patience!
