AGOPeople – SVR welcomes new Chief, Nan Oldroyd

On September 17, Nan Oldroyd will join the AGO as the new Chief, Staff & Volunteer Resources (SVR).

A strategic Human Resources leader, Nan has expertise in fast-paced, dynamic workplaces across the private and non-profit sectors. Nan has significant experience and demonstrated success in HR strategy, talent management, organizational design, culture transformation, employee engagement, labour relations, diversity & inclusion and HR systems & analytics. She holds a Master’s degree in Work, Organization and Leadership. She is also a committed volunteer, and is passionate about the arts.

Nan joins us from George Brown College, where she has served as Director, Talent Management for the past two years. Prior to George Brown, Nan was Vice-President, Human Resources for Loblaw Companies Limited where she led HR for two divisions. Previously, Nan held increasingly progressive HR leadership roles at Toys R Us, Tim Horton’s, Home Depot, and Costco.  She is currently a board member of The Stop Community Food Centre. As an HR leader, Nan is dedicated to designing enriching employee and volunteer experiences that align with the organizational strategy and customer expectations.

SVR will continue to be part of the Advancement Division and Nan will report to Alicia Vandermeer. She will serve on Leadership Team.
