In recognition for her contributions to the AGO, OCADU and the Grange community, John Street – from Stephanie Street to Queen Street – has been ceremonially named Harriet Boulton Smith Way.

Philanthropist Harriet Boulton Smith left her house – The Grange – as well as Grange Park and the family art collection to the Art Gallery of Ontario upon her death in 1909. As part of the revitalization of Grange Park, the local Grange community petitioned City Council to bestow this honour in recognition of her generosity, and the ceremonial dedication was approved by City Council in 2017.
