Hello Everyone,

• Great news this morning from Canada Council – we received a Digital Strategy grant of $482,500, to be distributed over three years. Thank you to Keri Ryan, Mark McKay, Tavia Fedoruk and everyone else who contributed to our submission.
• You will have seen my message earlier today about OCAD U. It is early stages and I honestly don’t know where our due diligence will lead us but I’m very excited about the potential for a joint expansion project. I will keep you posted on developments as the process unfolds. Again, the idea is to explore the possibility of building above the laneway between OCAD U and the AGO. (The laneway would still be part of the loading dock.)
• Here is a pic taken by Wanda Nanibush featuring LAS staff Craig Whiteside and Paul Mathieson, along with artist Adrian Stimson, installing Adrian’s piece Old Sun in Fudger Gallery. Adrian was recently awarded the 2018 Governor General’s Award in Visual and Media Arts. Tom Thomson’s West Wind and Emily Carr’s Church at Yuquot Village are also in the same gallery.
• Major renovations continue in the J.S. McLean Centre – here is a panoramic shot I took yesterday afternoon. It was very dusty!
