A Message from the Director: Extended Hours for Kusama Exhibition

Dear Everyone,

What’s happening?

  • The exhibition Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors is nearing the end of its run, and demand for the show has been unprecedented.
  • We listened to Members and the public, and are adding capacity to provide visitors with more chances to see the exhibition.

What changes will be made to capacity?

  • During the last two weekends of the exhibition (Thursday to Saturday), the Gallery will offer extended hours, adding over 4,000 late night rush tickets. On May 17, 18, 19 and May 24, 25, and 26 the exhibition will stay open to midnight.
  • This will create a celebratory moment for the AGO, and will be announced to the media tomorrow, May 1.

When will tickets be available for the additional time periods?

  • On days when the exhibition will be open until midnight, the added tickets will be sold in the morning rush line and the last entry to the exhibition will be at 10 pm.

To date, more than 150,000 tickets have been booked. The extended hours will give visitors even more chances to see this spring’s highly celebrated exhibition.

Thank you to everyone for your hard work in making this show a phenomenal success, and for helping even more art fans to see this incredible exhibition. The AGO has never experienced anything like it and everyone has worked together to be nimble and responsive. We’ve learned a lot!
