Weekly Update from Our Director and CEO, Stephan Jost

Hello Everyone,

• I am glad to be back in town after a whirlwind and productive visit to Paris and Maastricht last week with two of our curators to secure exhibition loans and to attend the TEFAF art fair.

• On Wednesday, I had lunch with Vickery Bowles, City Librarian at the Toronto Public Library. Did you know that 18 million visitors use the library system every year? The library is yet another reason Toronto is such a great place to live.

• The AGO will host Bill Withrow’s Memorial on Sunday, April 8 from 6 to 8pm in Walker Court. All staff and volunteers are welcome. Joining me will be former Directors Glenn Lowry, Max Anderson and Matthew Teitelbaum.

• Please be sure to check out the new installation of Impressionist prints and drawings in the John & Nancy Mulvilhill Gallery on the first floor. I love the dark paint colour on the walls.

• Enjoy the amazing city that emerged this past week in Walker Court. March Break has been wonderfully busy. Thank you to the Public Programming & Learning staff for developing and supervising programming, and to PSOs for helping keep our visitors and art safe.

• Just want to point out that next week is the first week of Spring!

Enjoy the weekend,

Stephan
