Hello Everyone,
- We were all saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Pippa Shaddick earlier this week. Pippa was a bright light and formed relationships with many of you throughout the Gallery. I will remember her warmth and smile, and the sound of her laughter echoing throughout the 4th floor. Information about Pippa’s memorial service is available on Dartboard. (Volunteers please note: Pippa Shaddick was a staff colleague who worked in our Development department).
- The Mitchell/Riopelle: Nothing in Moderation exhibition is being installed in the Sam & Ayala Zacks Pavilion – see pic below. The paintings look amazing against the simple, white walls. It is a very elegant installation. This is the first time that we’re holding a non-ticketed exhibition in Zacks but I think the art work really suits the space.
- The Phillip B. Lind Gallery is now open to the public. The Donald Judd sculpture is exquisite – here is a pic. Be sure to check out the space when you have a moment. Part of Look:Forward, thank you to everyone involved with this new installation of works from the Gallery’s modern collection.
Enjoy the snowy weekend,
Stephan
