Prints & Drawings Monthly Talk for February: Henry Moore: Large Two Forms

This month P&D presents: Henry Moore: Large Two Forms

When Henry Moore’s Bronze Sculpture, Large Two Forms, was moved earlier this year from the corner of Dundas and McCaul to the newly redone Grange Park, there was some grumbling. Moore, however, would have been delighted with the new location since he was never happy with the original one.

This talk will look at some of Moore’s etchings and lithographs of works destined for outdoor locations. It will specifically focus on Large Two Forms, which is now clearly visible from the Prints and Drawings Study Centre, and Moore’s thoughts about the placement of large works in open landscape versus in front of an architectural site. This month’s speaker, Phyllis Couzin, and her extensive knowledge on Henry Moore will surely make for a brilliant presentation – don’t miss it!
