At the end of July, 16 AGO interns and summer students from departments across the Gallery were invited to attend a roundtable to meet Stephan Jost, our Director and CEO, and hear what he had to say.

In the meeting, Stephan offered useful career advice and discussed his own career path, including his time as an intern at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He also explained what he felt were some of the challenges facing cultural institutions today and discussed the Gallery’s strategic priorities and his vision of its future.

The relaxed and lively mood allowed for candid discussion on both ends. Interns appreciated the opportunity to have an open conversation with Stephan in an informal environment.
