Hello Everyone,
- Wednesday’s Annual General Meeting was the last meeting chaired by Maxine Granovsky Gluskin, who served as AGO president from 2013 to 2017. Maxine was an extraordinary leader. To celebrate her presidency, a group of trustees and friends have together contributed a total of $2 million, which will support costs associated with Look:Forward. Incredible!
- At the AGM, Maxine announced the next president of the AGO Board of Trustees – Bob Harding. Bob is a generous advocate and has served as a vice president for several years. He is a corporate director and philanthropist and past chair of the Hospital for Sick Children, the University of Waterloo, and the United Way of Toronto. He is also past chair of Brookfield Asset Management and Brookfield Global Infrastructure Advisory Board.
- Don’t forget that next Wednesday, June 28, at 6pm there is a public opening of our summer shows featuring Canadian artists Rita Letendre, Mark Lewis and 50 others in Now. Then: Reframing Nationhood. The evening will mark a special moment for the AGO. Spread the word!
Enjoy the weekend,
Stephan
PS: I passed my English proficiency test!
