Welcome to Caroline Shields, who has joined the AGO’s Curatorial team as Assistant Curator, European Art.

Caroline will be working on the Look:Forward project, reinstalling the European galleries, specifically the Fudger and Frank P. Wood galleries.

Caroline comes to us from the National Gallery of Art in Washington, where she worked in international curatorial roles. She has also worked at the Musee d’Orsay, Paris and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and received her PhD in art history from the University of Maryland.

In the latest AGOinsider, Caroline shared what she’s loving about Toronto and the AGO Collection.

Plus – find out what goes on Friday Nights at the AGO, learn where art meets theatre in Stratford, and get some great ideas for Father’s Day – all in this week’s AGOinsider.
