Last month the 2016-17 funds for the Volunteer Endowment Trust (VET) were officially signed over from the AGO Foundation Board (represented by Trustee Barry Appleton) to the AGO (represented by CEO Stephan Jost, and VET committee members Shelagh Barrington, David Gibson, Marthe Yolleck and Susan Morrison) in support of the Look:Forward re-installation of the AGO’s permanent collection. Also attending the signing ceremony in the 4th floor Board Room were Jane Hilton, Director of Philanthropy; Erin Prendergast, AGO Foundation Corporate Secretary; and Ros Whitby, Executive Assistant to Chief Financial Officer.
Earlier in the year, Will Craddock, Development Associate, presented the VET committee with six possible and extremely worthwhile AGO projects from which three were selected. The VET Committee (which also included Laurie Herd) presented these three projects to the Volunteer Executive, who then chose on behalf of all volunteers to support Look: Forward.
Volunteer Recognition for support of the show will be displayed in the reinstalled Photography galleries on the main floor; labeling will also acknowledge fellow volunteer Maxine Granovsky Gluskin’s contribution as Chair of the Board of Trustees (2013-2017).
