Hello Everyone,
- I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Cecil Stein earlier this week. Cecil was a talented carpenter and the museum benefited greatly from his skills during his significant tenure of nearly 14 years. I am sure his loss is deeply felt by those who worked closest with him in Logistics and Art Services.
- I would like to acknowledge Cecil’s colleagues – master carpenters, framers, painters, light specialists and others – who helped ensure high quality casing and finishes in the newly installed galleries. Great art always looks better in well thought out, exquisitely crafted spaces.
- Today is the last day of the fiscal year. Next week, I will share our annual attendance figure. I can tell you it might be our largest number in 30 years – stay tuned!
Let’s keep Cecil in our thoughts this weekend.
