Welcome to Wanda Nanibush, who has joined the AGO as Assistant Curator, Canadian and Indigenous Art.
Wanda brings exceptional curatorial experience as well as in-depth knowledge of Canadian, First Nations, Métis and Inuit art. She has been working with the AGO since 2014, most recently as a guest curator to develop Toronto: Tributes + Tributaries, which opens September 29. She has also curated a number of independent exhibitions, including KWE at the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery, which won the Ontario Association of Art Galleries best monographic exhibition award in 2015.
Wanda has a master’s degree in Visual Studies from the University of Toronto. Wanda will report to Andrew Hunter.
