All volunteers will be receiving two free passes from their staff coordinator beginning this week, for the exhibition The Idea of North: The Paintings of Lawren Harris.

You will also be able to offer 35% discount e-coupons to forward via email to your friends and family. Paper discount coupons are also available if you prefer; just drop by SVR. We’ll also make a supply available in the volunteer lounge.
Passes and discount coupons can be used beginning Friday, July 1, when the exhibition opens. Please note there will be no staff & volunteer preview for this show. A founding member of the Group of Seven and a major figure in the history of twentieth-century Canadian art, Lawren Harris (1885-1970) remains largely unknown in the United States. The AGO partnered with the Hammer Museum in L.A. to introduce Harris’s iconic landscapes to audiences in Los Angeles and Boston. The exhibition features more than 30 of Harris’ most significant and rare northern landscapes from the 1920s and 1930s, drawn from major public and private collections across Canada.
