This major exhibition celebrates the radically experimental late works of Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775–1851), a giant of British art whose final paintings range from the dramatic to the contemplative. Opening on Oct. 31, 2015, J.M.W. Turner: Painting Set Free features more than 50 paintings and works on paper on loan from Tate Britain.
