Beloved Henry Moore sculpture gets special attention

Henry Moore, Large Two Forms

Henry Moore, Large Two Forms

You may have noticed some activity around Large Two Forms (1966-69), the iconic Henry Moore sculpture at the southwest corner of Dundas and McCaul.

Starting today, a local welder will be repairing stress cracks in the metal, working under the supervision of AGO conservation staff. In June, staff will be working with a conservator from The Henry Moore Foundation in England to restore the original colour and surface texture of the sculpture. AGO conservators will also apply a protective wax coating in order to ensure the sculpture can be enjoyed for years to come.

Please stop by and see the work in progress! Information will be posted near the work daily to let you know what is planned for the day.
