It’s time once again to share your suggestions through our annual submission contest Bright Ideas. This contest is open to all staff and volunteers and offers a chance to make a difference at the AGO.

This year, we want to know, “How can we make visitors feel more welcome at the AGO?” The winner of Bright Ideas will receive a $250 AGO Gift Certificate. As you may recall, last year’s winner was Gallery Guide volunteer, Margaret Johnston, whose winning idea was AGO People’s Choice, a program that allowed visitors to vote for their favourite work of art in the Gallery, and will culminate in a self-guided tour handout of the top ten works.

Visitor Welcome focuses on our visitors’ sense of belonging and connection to the AGO. A visit to the AGO should feel comfortable, friendly and accessible while providing opportunities for visitors to engage with all we have to offer. Everyone who works or volunteers at the AGO can contribute to a better visitor experience. Please share your ideas about how all departments can contribute to the visitor experience.
