Open Training for All Volunteers – Join us for Fall sessions on exhibition content

All AGO volunteers are invited to attend the following open training sessions. This is an opportunity to learn more in-depth about gallery exhibitions, artists and programs. Enjoy these Fall sessions, and thank you to Melissa Smith, for organizing:

  • Conservation Panel: Margaret Haupt, Deputy Director, on Preventative Conservation, Lisa Ellis, Conservator, Sculpture & Decorative Arts(pictured), on the Boxwood Beads (Thomson Collection) & John Williams, Mountmaker, on the Bernini Mount

Monday October 20, 10:00am in 12:00pm in Jackman Hall (repeated Tuesday October 21, 6:30pm- 8:30pm, in Seminar Room 3)

  • Artist-in-Residence Greg Staats discusses his residency this Fall, and David Wistow, Interpretive Planner, on Michelangelo

Monday November 24, 10:00am – 12:00pm in Jackman Hall (repeated Tuesday November 25, 6:30pm – 8:30pm, also in Jackman Hall) 

  •  Art as Therapy (particularly with regards to dimentia and Alzheimer’s), with Becky Hewis, Art Therapist
