Artful Conversation is just what the title promises: an hour of art works and conversation with a Gallery Guide each month, in a selected AGO gallery, around a specific theme.

Together with Gallery Guide Valerie Fairclough, participants in the May Artful Conversation will explore a variety of three-dimensional works from the AGO’s collections — including David Altmejd’s The Index, above (photo by Valerie Fairclough).

The works will be drawn from diverse cultures and eras, and illustrate a range of techniques, materials and artistic motivations.
