In the mid-1980s, Canadian painter and printmaker John Hartman began to make visionary colour drypoints that combined his home landscape of Georgian Bay with stories, often placed in the sky of his images. (Here below: Salvage, 2000, Collection of the Artist.)

Join John Hartman as he presents a selection of his colour drypoint prints along with works chosen from two key influences – the colour drypoints of David Milne and the aquatints of David Blackwood. All works are from the AGO collection.
