Art Rental & Sales Gallery staff and volunteers execute high profile corporate installations, present at Interior Design Show

Early in January, 25 artworks from AR&SG and consigning Toronto galleries were successfully installed at the new corporate office of AIMIA.  This project is an expression of AMIA’s long term partnership with the AGO.  For the past 5 years AIMIA  has worked with the AGO in creating and administering the Grange Prize for Contemporary Photography.  This marked the completion of the first phase of a very successful AR&SG consultation process.  Elizabeth Petrova, Art Rental Coordinator, and volunteer Janna Walters worked with AIMIA to recommend, select and install the artwork. Two of the pieces were purchased and the rest leased for a year.  Phase 2 of this project will go ahead in February with Elizabeth  working with Sophie Hackett, AGO Assistant Curator, Photography to outfit the Toronto Board of Trade Lounge with Canadian Grange Prize luminaries.

AR&SG volunteers Janna Walters and Harriet Goodman, consigning artist Alex D’Arcy and Art Rental Coordinator Elizabeth Petrova presented seminars on art collecting at the Interior Design Show 2013 on January 25th and 26th.
